The Italy trip 2019 was an unforgettable journey filled with excitement, memories, culture and great food! Our journey began on a long flight that had us all waiting impatiently to arrive at our destination. After many long hours, thirty of us stepped off the plane into what would be our home for the next two weeks. The Year 7 Numeracy Evening was held on Monday 18th February and proved to be a very informative night for the parents of those students who attended. Mental computations and EMU (Extending Mathematical Understanding) games and strategies were demonstrated and explained to the parents. On 13th February, we were given the privilege of attending the inaugural Red Mass at St Patrick’s Cathedral, Parramatta. This mass is held at the beginning of the law year, as a way of offering thanksgiving for all those who serve the law. It is also an opportunity for members of the judiciary, as well as lawyers and public service officials to reaffirm a commitment to justice and faith. Read more ...
Once again one of our students, Dominique Espinosa, was successful in gaining a place in NYSF 2019. This prestigious program attracts some of the best young minds across Australia for a 12 days residential camp at the Australian National University in Canberra during the January holidays. More than twenty of Cerdon College students took the opportunity to participate in The 2019 Conoco Phillips Science Experience, as participant and mentors alongside more than one-hundred students across Sydney. The three day holidays program involves team of students working together to solve a murder case, while learning a great deal about different science disciplines. Students were exposed to a variety of workshops, lectures and engaging activities which provided for an amazing learning experience.

The exceptional costume design work of Cerdon College student Antonela Scarpignato will feature as part of the annual NSW Texstyle Exhibition to be held in March. Showcasing a selection of outstanding Major Works developed by HSC Textiles and Design students from across NSW, the inspiration behind Antonela's major work is based on the features that reflect the iron age and the character of the Morrigan, the Celtic Goddess of war, death and phantom from Irish mythology.
