Today, nine of our Year 10 students recently attended the Australian Defence Force Women in Leadership Day in Parramatta, where they had the opportunity to hear from inspiring women who have built successful and rewarding careers across a wide range of roles within the Defence Force. Students gained valuable insights and advice that extend far beyond career planning. Some of the key messages shared throughout the day included: ⭐ "When people come together with a common purpose, amazing things can happen." ⭐ "At 16 years of age, you don't need to have everything figured out. You don't need a grand plan – just keep making choices and exploring opportunities." ⭐ A successful career starts with understanding your 'why' – identifying what gives you energy, purpose and motivation. ⭐ Be authentic. We don't need copies of everyone else. The qualities and experiences that make you different are often the things that make you most valuable to a team. Students also discovered the incredible diversity of careers available within the Australian Defence Force, from healthcare and engineering to communications, intelligence, logistics, aviation and leadership. Thank you to the Australian Defence Force for providing such an empowering and inspiring experience for our students. Chavoin Fun!!! After our Chavoin Mass, students came together to celebrate the rich diversity of cultures within our school through music, and dance. The festivities continued with Year 12 leading celebrations, inviting the entire school to join in the fun and creating a joyful atmosphere filled with unity, laughter, and school spirit. It was a wonderful way to celebrate our community and the special traditions that make us unique.

Last Friday, we celebrated Chavoin Day, a special occasion in our school community. We thanked our outgoing College Captains for their leadership and welcomed our new student leaders as they begin their journey. Congratulations to Felicity, recipient of the Fourviere Award, and to Marcellin House, winners of the Chavoin Shield. We also proudly acknowledged two significant staff milestones, celebrating 10 years of dedicated service by Ms Tina Tasioulas and Mrs Rosanne Victoria. It was a wonderful day of celebration, gratitude, and community spirit.

How do we hear God’s voice, and how should we respond to it? These deeply profound questions were at the heart of tonight’s Enlighten Evening hosted by Parramatta Marist. Through deepening Marist connections and listening receptively to a range of spirit-filled speakers, including Fr Andrew Rooney, our senior students were called to reflect more deeply on their attentiveness to the voice of God within their own lives.God’s voice is indeed a gentle whisper, a voice heard through a listening heart. Grounded in a space of sacred silence, students were invited to open their hearts more fully to the joy and consolation that only God can offer through the Rosary, Adoration, and Confession.
