On Monday 7th September, the Year 10 Elective History class visited the Justice and Police Museum near Circular Quay in Sydney, for an excursion. In the courthouse, they learned about an infamous trial from the 1930s called the Pyjama Girl Mystery. Some of the girls then took on the roles of the prosecution and defence barristers, and the accused in a mock trial. They also visited the old gaol cells and police room onsite, where some of Sydney’s criminals were processed until the 1950’s. An enjoyable day was spent learning about the police and justice system in NSW.

Encountering Jesus Creative Showcase Thursday evening the 27th of August, selected students from Years 7–10 attended the inaugural Encountering Jesus Creative Hearts Showcase, organised by the CSPD Mission Team. The showcase celebrated the creativity, faith and learning of students participating in the new Encountering Jesus curriculum. All students received a certificate recognising them as finalists in the Encountering Jesus Creative Hearts Showcase. However, special mention must go to Zara in Year 8 and Fatima and Sherleena in Year 10, whose works were selected for inclusion in the esteemed Showcase Display Booklet. 👏🌟
