Learning at Cerdon
Cerdon is a place where curiosity, imagination and love of learning thrive through working together to provide the most effective, engaging and challenging learning experiences for students.
As part of a system of Catholic schools in the Diocese of Parramatta, we’re working together to transform learning for students in Greater Western Sydney. This means reimagining and refreshing learning and teaching for today’s world and today’s learners.
The purpose and promise of a Catholic education is to inspire each learner - student, teacher and family - to discover a meaningful and flourishing life.
Our Faith Journey
Cerdon is a great place for students to grow in faith and learning. We value each student as an individual and share the values of the Gospel to help them discover hope within and to experience a meaningful and rewarding life.
Our Faith Journey
Beyond the Classroom
We believe it is important for students to pursue interests to find what they are passionate about. Our school gives them exposure to a range of exciting opportunities to unlock their creative potential, develop a talent or follow a passion.
Sport
Sport is a valued part of our school’s curriculum. It contributes to the development of the whole child by providing a vehicle for social, physical, emotional and moral learning. Participation, enjoyment and skill development are the cornerstones of school sport. Representative pathways are also available through the Parramatta Diocese Secondary Schools Sports Council.

Bring Your Own Device (BYOD)
At Cerdon we require our students to bring their own personal technology device to school to support their learning. Our BYOD program provides students with access to expanded global resources and content. It also gives students the opportunity to take ownership of their learning and facilitates creative problem solving.
The preferred device is an Apple iPad.
School Uniform
Our students are ambassadors for Cerdon and wear their uniforms with pride. The College has its own on-site uniform shop. Learn about our school uniform and how to make a purchase.
Our Curriculum
We believe in and strive for a quality, broad-based education to prepare women to take their place in a changing world. We provide an appropriate, dynamic and diverse curriculum which extends beyond the classroom and challenges our girls to reach their full potential.
Creative and Performing Arts
The Creative and Performing Arts forms an essential part of the balanced education we offer at Cerdon. We offer a range of exciting opportunities for our students in this area. The skills developed in our students are valuable both for personal satisfaction and in an enormous range of careers.
Social Justice
The College encourages all students to become aware of a variety of global social justice issues. Our community has a strong, ongoing commitment to social justice issues which drives many of our student extracurricular activities.
Parents as Partners
Strong partnerships between home, parish and school support students to grow in faith and learning. All efforts are made by the College to encourage parents to maintain a real presence as partners in providing a first-rate Marist educational experience.
