Science and Engineering Challenge 2025 Yesterday a group of year 9 and year 10 students participated in the Science and Engineering Challenge at Western Sydney University. Students were working on a variety of projects which simulated real life challenges including building an Eco House which could withstand wind and water, a Fishtrap which could collect a certain size ‘fish’ and developed a non-verbal communication system. The girls thoroughly enjoyed the day and learned a great deal about STEM applications from the experience. Their efforts on the day delivered some outstanding results, the team placing a commendable 3rd overall! Well Done girls!

Last week some of our year 9 students were invited to speak at a meeting for the Rotary Club of Holroyd. Jacinta, Phoebe and Elizabeth presented their reflections on the RYPEN camp which took place earlier this year at Teen Ranch and which was organised and kindly sponsored by Rotary. The year 9 students delivered a wonderful speech about their camp experience: from conquering their fears on the high ropes, learning about mental health to bonding around the campfire under the stars, the girls' adventures were vividly brought to life, gaining much praise from the smiling and inspired audience! Thank you so much to Holroyd Rotary for hosting the girls and for sponsoring such a wonderful and enriching experience!#holroydrotary#cspd

Today we give thanks for the life of our Foundress Mother St Joseph (Jeanne Marie Chavoin) who died 30 June 1858 in Jarnosse, France. God of graciousness and love, we thank you for the gift of Jeanne Marie Chavoin, our foundress, Mother St Joseph. She lived in the spirit of Mary and drew others to a way of life revealed by you to the early Marists Mary's way of living the Gospel, of engaging in the mission of Jesus. May our foundress Mother St Joseph intercede for us today that we may draw others to this same way of life. Let her prayer for each of us be: "May the Spirit of Mary remain always with her." We pray this in the name of Jesus your Son. Amen.
