Congratulations to our enthusiastic coders who participated in the Girls Programming Network workshop for term 3 at UTS last weekend. This workshop involved students making a program that makes and breaks secret codes using Cryptography! As always, the girls learned a lot from the day and thoroughly enjoyed the experience! 😊

Congratulations to Shayna Morgan, Sarah Oldridge and Sarah Romanous from year 11, who have successfully gained a place in the National Youth Science Forum 2024! The girls will travel to Canberra’s Australian National University for a 12 day intensive science experience during the January holidays. This is an amazing opportunity for them, and after all their hard work, certainly well deserved! 😊

Another fantastic effort from the Year 12 Design Technology Students, with eight quality major works submissions presented to the HSC markers last week. Problem identification and methodologies to solve these problems using the 'Design Thinking Process' were evident during the twelve months. From designing a floating house in flood-prone areas through to designing aeroplane access and egress for people with disabilities, Cerdon students went on the inquiry pathway, empathizing with the end user and solving identifiable problems with their creations. Well done, Year 12 2023 Design and Technology Students.
